KARACHI, February 19, 2019 (SNN247.com) – Manchester United roared to a two-nil victory over Chelsea FC in the fifth round match of the FA Cup 2019 in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 40,562 at Stamford Bridge in Fulham, England on Monday night.
Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera scored the two goals for the Red Devils in the first half of the highly electrifying FA Cup encounter.
Ander Herrera broke the shackles in the 31st minute when he headed the ball home after a marvelous ball in from Paul Pogba. The goal also exposed the shortcomings in the defence line of Chelsea, which allowed Herrera to sneak into the perfect place at the right time.
After contributing in the opening goal, Paul Pogba again came in the limelight in the 45th minute when he doubled the advantage for the Manchester United. He “bullet-headed” a perfect ball by Rashford into the back of the net to make it even tougher for Chelsea to imagine a comeback into the game.
Manchester United managed to keep hold of the two-goal advantage till the final whistle to enter the February 27 encounter with a two-goal advantage.
