Spirited Sri Lanka set Pakistan record chase to level series

KARACHI, October 7, 2019 (SNN247.com) – The spirited Sri Lanka team put Pakistan under pressure as they set the highest T20I target of 183 for Pakistan on home soil to level the series on Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Pakistan team was again poor in the field both with field and bowl as young Sri Lankan team continued to pounce on the opportunities provided by lackluster Pakistan team. The hard hitter young impressive Rajapaksa, who is known for his six hitting ability, lead the Sri Lankan charge as he scored brilliant 77 from just 48 with 4 fours and 6 sixes.

Skipper Shanaka also scored impressive 27* from just 15 balls while Jayasuriya scored 34 runs from 28 balls. Sri Lanka scored 47 runs in their last 5 overs for the lost of four wickets.

Imad Wasim, Wahab Riaz and Shadab took one wicket each while three batsmen were run out. Pakistan need 183 runs to win to level the series with Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam to open the innings for Pakistan.
