Germany thrash Pakistan by 6-1 in 1st Test match

KARACHI, October 22, 2019 ( – Germany defeated Pakistan convincingly in the first match of the two-match test series by 6-1 played at Mönchengladbach, West Germany.

Germany were by far the best team in the match as Pakistan hockey team failed to put any fight. The score was 2-0 in favor of host at the end of second quarter (half time). Germany went to score two goals in the third quarter as the score was 4-0 at the end of 45 minutes of the match.

Umar Bhutta scored the solitary goal for Pakistan in the 46th minute of the match while Germany scored two more goal in the last quarter to make it 6-1. Germany now lead the two-match series by 1-0.

Both teams will play second match tomorrow at same venue. The match will start at 9:30pm PST. Pakistan hockey team is due to play two matches of Tokyo Olympics 2020 qualifiers against Netherlands on October 26 & 27 at Amsterdam.
