Pakistan to host Kabaddi World Cup in 2020, India confirm to participate

LAHORE, November 8, 2019 ( – In a recent positive development, Pakistan will host circle style Kabaddi World Cup in January 2020 where arch rival India has confirmed its participation for the mega event.

The tournament will be played from January 12 – 18 in Lahore, Faisalabad, Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur while final will be played in Lahore. So far India has hosted all the six-circle style Kabaddi world cup and the last world cup was held in 2016.

The news was released by Pakistan Kabaddi Federation Chief Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain with Secretary Rana Sarwar in a news conference on Thursday. Total 10 teams have confirmed their participation in the mega tournament Following teams have qualified for the tournament Pakistan, India, Australia, Canada, Iran, Kenya and Sierra Leone.

The winner of the tournament will get PKR 10 million while runners up will receive PKR 7.5 million. The third prize holder will get PKR 5.0 million.
