Australia sight innings victory in Brisbane Test against Pakistan

BRISBANE, November 23, 2019 ( – Australia are on course to keep their 30 years winning record intact at Gabba, Brisbane as Pakistan cricket team are struggling to avoid innings defeat in First Domain test match.

Pakistan lost their three top order batsmen including skipper Azhar Ali (5 off 9) & star test batsman Asad Shafique (0 off 6) in just seven overs of second innings at 25/3 as they closed the day 3 64/3. Stylish middle order batsman Babar Azam (20* off 33) and opener Shan Masood (27* off 47) were at the crease as pair added 39* for the fourth wicket with Nathan Lyon looked threatening for left-handed batsmen. Haris Sohail (8 off 8) again looked very impressive as he had the identical first inning dismissal in the second inning as well to the same bowler Mitchell Starc (2/25).

Earlier young Aussie talent Marcus Labuschagne punished Pakistani bowlers with his match winning inning of 185 from just 279 balls. Labuschagne added 110 runs for the fourth wicket with Mathew Wade (60 off 97) after Australia lost two quick wickets on Day 3. Australia were bowled out for 580 runs giving them massive lead of 340 against visitors.

Yasir took 4/205 for Pakistan while Haris and Shaheed Afridi took two wickets each. The young fast bowling sensation Naseem Shah took one wicket for 68. Pakistan will resume day 4 with hoping Babar and Shan to rescue them.
